Come join us for this Rare and Unique Evening of Original Harp Compositions Performed by the Harpists/Composers themselves.
Elizabeth Volpe-Blighwill be performing her famous ‘Downstairs Spider’ and debuting a brand newcomposition.
Mehlinda Hearttwill also be debuting ‘Celtic River’, ‘African Light’, and ‘Esperanza’ pieces for 3 harps and drums, as well as her ‘Faerie Greensleeves’ and ‘Middle Eastern Cantiga’.
Josh layne will be performing his ‘Rhapsody’ and ‘Maple Leaf Rag’ and other wonderful surprises.
Clare Morgan. Is our more curious Harp Composer with her unique Punkified Celtic twist as heard in one of her songs “Butterly Suicide’, accompanied by her beautiful voice.
This is a fundraiser for the World Harp Congress taking place in Vancouver 2011. This is a must see! Vancouver’s first! You will never see as many Big and small Harps in one room! A program seldom seen!

Harp Extravaganza

A Tribute Concert to Jurgen Gothe, featuring acclaimed jazz harpist Christa Grix and highly popular Winter Harp as well as BC's top harpists performing music from classical to Celtic to flamenco! Lucie McNeill, former host of CBC's Almanac, will be emceeing the event.
